Addy - Foster Me!

I've been at ARC for

Weight: 52.2 Pounds

My story:

This black beauty came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services. They were out of space, and contacted us to see if we might be able to take her. Who could resist this sweetheart?

Addy was adopted from ARC for a very short time. She was returned because, according to her adopter, she had become protective of her (the adopter) around male family members. We have not seen any evidence of this at the shelter. She interacts well with everyone.

In May of 2019, this sweet little thing was found to have a tumor in her abdomen that perforated, seriously jeopardizing her life. We immediately had emergency surgery performed, saving her life. She recovered very well, but will soon be undergoing oral chemotherapy. Ideally, this would happen while she was under the watchful eye of a foster home. If you are interested in fostering this sweet girl, and do not have ANY other pets, please consider completing our foster application.

Won’t you consider giving her a place in your home?
