My story:

Galaxy is a quiet, sweet soul.  She's been with us for a very long time now, and she REALLY needs a forever home.  She takes a little time to get to know new people, and for this reason, we'd want her potential adopter to come visit her a few times to make her comfortable.  Once she has gotten to know you, she will love you forever.  She loves to have her ears scratched, and will roll over on her back to share her soft, felt-like belly with you.

Galaxy had surgery in June of 2016 to repair a ligament in her knee.  As of mid-July 2016, she is nearing the end of her recovery.  She has recovered VERY well, and gets around well.  She does have some arthritis in her neck that is treated with pain medication.

She doesn't seem to mind cats at all, and gets along with some dogs.  This sweet girl would love a chance at a new home.  Because of her age and the amount of time she's been at ARC, we would be happy to foster this old girl, as well!  As an ARC Foster, the shelter would cover all costs, including food, medication, and veterinary care.  If you are interested in becoming a Foster Home, please apply here.
