This adorable Shih Tzu Mix came to ARC from Hendry County Animal Control with two other pups after they ran out of space. Kermit is the perfect blend of playful and cuddly — he enjoys a good romp but is just as happy soaking up lap time. His sweet, loving personality makes him impossible not to fall for.

How To Adopt?

ARC is open daily from 11 AM until 4 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, for visits and adoptions. If you see a resident that you like and you have further questions, you may contact us and an ARC representative will get back to you to discuss him/her in further detail. Or, you may call (239) 731-3535 between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM for more information. Please leave a message if we don't answer, and we'll do our best to return your call promptly.

If you are unable to adopt a resident at this time, you can become a sponsor for a particular dog or cat! The average cost of care for one resident at ARC is $1000 annually, but ANY amount goes a long way towards providing for our residents!
